We build the future
On the one hand, our battery storage systems help industrial and commercial customers save on grid fees by optimising their load profiles and/or capping load peaks. On the other hand, battery storage systems make an important contribution to the success of the energy transition because they stabilise the electricity grid by reducing consumption peaks. With the steadily growing share of renewable energies in the electricity grid, this is a system-relevant challenge.
We believe in the energy transition
With the steady expansion of renewable energies, the demands on the transmission and distribution grids are increasing. Longer transmission routes lead to higher costs for the necessary grid expansion. Fluctuating energy sources such as wind and solar also place higher demands on all parties involved to keep the electricity grids stable, i.e. to avoid overloads as well as power outages.
We are the experts
Because we can now draw on more than 10 years of experience — with more than 100 MW of batteries installed. We have set up the ambitious goal of providing an additional 10 GW of storage by 2035. We are planning investments of 8 billion euros for this.
Why battery storage?
Battery storage contributes significantly to the stabilisation of the electricity grid, as it can flexibly balance loads and thus make or keep the electricity grid controllable.
At the same time, battery storage systems contribute to reducing grid costs because they can be used locally and replace grid capacities when they are deployed over a wide area.
They thus make an important contribution to the security of supply of all electricity consumers.
Save on grid fees with battery storage
Grid fees currently account for about 20 percent of electricity costs in the industrial and commercial sector, with an rising trend.
Businesses can save a lot of money by optimising their load profiles, especially by reducing consumption peaks and benefiting from reduced grid fees. The concrete savings potential through the use of a battery solution depends on various factors and can be specifically determined based on the individual load profile.
