Intelligent battery storage for Malteurop

A win-win relationship: Climate protection programme and storage systems

In December 2019, EDF Renewables and malt-producer Malteurop commissioned two battery storage systems in Rostock and Heidenau. Each battery is designed to supply the respective production plant with 200 kW for at least one hour.

For malt-producer Malteurop, in addition to cost savings, an equally strong motivation was that storage solutions help stabilize the entire grid and thus ensure reliable power supply for all consumers.
