Repowering and
tender procedures

Repowering: Turning old into new

Repowering is a highly relevant topic: it involves the replacement of existing plants with new, more powerful wind turbines – either in the immediate vicinity of the current site or at a greater distance from the old sites. Repowering is always an option when existing turbines have reached a certain age – at the latest, however, when they run out of EEG subsidies and cannot or should not continue to be operated as so-called Plus20 or post-EEG turbines.

In any case, repowering requires well-founded know-how and relevant experience, because numerous technical, economic and legal aspects need to be considered and optimised. If you own a corresponding existing plant for which you do not want to use the repowering potential yourself, we are looking forward to hearing from you. With us, you have an experienced and financially solid partner who will realise the repowering for you and take over your plant afterwards.

Tender procedures

EDF Renewables is a competent and financially solid player in tender procedures worldwide. With a high number of projects won in competitive bidding processes, we are very familiar with all aspects of a bidding process.

With us, you are very well positioned for future tender rounds and have an experienced partner at your side – we are looking forward to hearing from you.
